1. Agreement
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of BeMyLetter, operated by Blue Insight Digital Private Limited ("we", "us", or "our"), including our website at bemyletter.com and our application at /app (together, the "Service").
By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
2. Description of the Service
BeMyLetter is a relationship network built on co-witnessed perspectives of real interactions. It helps founders and investors capture meeting notes, draft shareable accounts, deliver them to counterparties for confirmation, and build a confirmed track record over time. Features may include private notes, AI-assisted drafting, coaching reads, limited actions with responses, and relationship profiles scoped to mutual interactions.
3. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and have the legal capacity to enter into a binding contract under applicable law to use the Service. By using BeMyLetter, you represent that you meet these requirements.
4. Accounts
You sign in using Facebook Login. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your Facebook account and for all activity that occurs under your BeMyLetter account. You must provide accurate information, including your role selection (founder or investor), when creating your account.
You may not create an account using another person's identity without authorisation, or share your session credentials with others.
5. Your content
You retain ownership of the content you create on BeMyLetter, including private notes, perspective text, responses, and uploaded images ("User Content"). By using the Service, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, process, display, and transmit your User Content solely as necessary to operate and improve the Service.
You are solely responsible for your User Content. You represent that you have the right to submit it and that it does not violate these Terms or applicable law.
Private vs. shared content. Private notes remain on your side of the account and are never delivered to counterparties. Only perspective text you review and approve is shared with the designated counterparty. Once a perspective is witnessed, it becomes part of a shared record governed by the immutability rules in Section 6.
6. Witnessed record immutability
A core design principle of BeMyLetter is that confirmed records are trustworthy because they cannot be rewritten. Once a perspective reaches the "Witnessed" state:
- Its text cannot be edited or deleted.
- It becomes part of a permanent record visible to the counterparty.
- Corrections are made by adding a new perspective, not by altering history.
By delivering a perspective for witnessing, you understand that if the counterparty confirms it, the record will be permanent. You may decline or reissue a perspective before it is witnessed, subject to the product's lifecycle rules.
7. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of applicable law.
- Harass, threaten, defame, or abuse other users.
- Submit false, misleading, or fraudulent content.
- Impersonate any person or entity.
- Scrape, crawl, or use automated means to access the Service without our permission.
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Service, other accounts, or our systems.
- Interfere with or disrupt the Service or its infrastructure.
- Abuse AI features to generate harmful, illegal, or deceptive content.
- Upload content that infringes third-party intellectual property or privacy rights.
We may suspend or terminate your access if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms.
8. AI-generated content
BeMyLetter may use artificial intelligence to suggest perspective drafts, coaching reads, and limited actions. AI output is provided as a convenience and may be inaccurate or incomplete. You are responsible for reviewing, editing, and approving all content before it is shared with a counterparty.
We make no warranty that AI-generated suggestions are correct, complete, or suitable for any particular purpose.
9. Other users' content
Perspectives and responses submitted by other users reflect their own accounts of interactions. BeMyLetter does not endorse, verify, or guarantee the accuracy of user-submitted content. Your decision to rely on any counterparty's perspective is at your own discretion.
10. Intellectual property
The BeMyLetter name, logo, design, software, and all related intellectual property are owned by Blue Insight Digital Private Limited or its licensors. These Terms do not grant you any rights to our branding or technology beyond the limited licence to use the Service as intended.
11. Disclaimer
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT, TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW.
BeMyLetter is not a legal, financial, investment, or professional advisory service. Content on the platform — including AI-generated drafts and coaching reads — does not constitute advice of any kind. You should consult qualified professionals for decisions that require expert guidance.
12. Limitation of liability
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, LOST TECHNOLOGIES PRIVATE LIMITED AND ITS DIRECTORS, OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.
OUR TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO THESE TERMS OR THE SERVICE SHALL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM, OR (B) INR 5,000.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations of liability. In such cases, our liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by law.
13. Termination
You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms, if required by law, or if we discontinue the Service.
Upon termination, your right to access the Service ends. Witnessed perspectives and other shared records may persist as part of the counterparty's history, consistent with the product's immutability design. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including disclaimers, limitation of liability, and governing law) will survive.
14. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of competent jurisdiction in India, except where mandatory law in your country of residence requires otherwise.
If you are a consumer in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, nothing in these Terms limits any statutory rights you have under applicable law, including rights under the GDPR as described in our Privacy Policy. You may also have the right to bring proceedings in the courts of your country of residence.
15. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. If you do not agree to the updated Terms, you must stop using the Service.
